Joy Along The Way
Lutheran Child & Family Service of Michigan's Annual Social, "Joy Along the Way," was held Saturday, March 8, 2008, at the Bavarian Inn Restaurant in Frankenmuth, MI. Our guest speaker was Dr. Richard Bimler former President of Wheat Ridge Ministries who spoke on "The Audacity of Easter!" with humor.
"Joy Along the Way" highlights the work of LCFS of Michigan, shares information regarding current services and recognizes outstanding contributions for children and families. This year there were two Friend of Children Awards, the recipients were Judge Frederick Mulhauser (below left) and Senator James Barcia (below right).
Although there was no charge to attend, an opportunity to make a donation to the Theodore C. Melinat Endowment Fund was provided during the evening. This fund provides the basis for long-term investment that supports the continuation and development of future services.
